We are a full-scope eyecare center. We offer everything from glasses & contacts to comprehensive & emergency
medical exams. We do minor procedures and pre/post surgical care in-office: including LASIK consultations, Cataract evaluation, Retinal, Glaucoma, and other focused evaluations as well. Dr. Robert J. Gerdes has over 30 years of
experience. Dr. Brittany A. Kay has experience in disease management and emergency eyecare including surgical evaluation/ post-operative care. Prior to private practice, she served around clock with hospital privileges, on-call
for several local hospitals. In the rare event additional care is needed, a referral directly from your primary eyecare provider to the proper specialist is the fastest way to receiving additional care.

DR. BRITTANY A. KAY, O.D.

​Dr. Kay completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at IAUPR in 2019. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Kent State University in 2012.

Dr. Kay enjoys traveling and adventure. She has a wide range of hobbies, from hiking and scuba diving, to reading and finance. She enjoys learning new things, especially about medicine and how it impacts the eyes. She almost always wears a smile.

​DR. ROBERT J. GERDES, O.D.

​Dr. Gerdes contributions to the community of Hubbard cannot be overstated. 

He provided exceptional vision care as a sole practitioner in town for over 30 years after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and is acting governor of Zone 4 of the Ohio Optometric Association.  Dr. Kay purchased the practice from Dr. Gerdes in June of 2021. He continues to see patients on a limited basis as he slowly eases into retirement.
